A Chinese famille rose porcelain statue of Guanyin with a 4-character mark of Fujian Huiguan and dating to the Republic period. Guanyin stands on clouds and wears a hooded robe decorated with clouds. She wears a small necklace against her painted, bisque skin. The bottom of the statue has six 4-character marks including that of Fujian Huiguan. Dimensions are: 17 1/4 inches tall X 6 inches wide, 43.8 cm X 15.2 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a hairline to the bottom rim. There is a firing crack to an upper edge of the robe as well as firing cracks to the top of Guanyin's foot. Provenance: From a private Boston, Massachusetts collection.
