A Chinese celadon and blue teapot dating from the 19th century. The teapot has a 6-character mark on the bottom, and the spout and handle are carved with beast heads. The body of the teapot depicts a dragon, phoenix, and a pair of aquatic dragons. Dimensions are: 9 inches tall X 6 3/4 inches wide, 22.86 cm X 7.15 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in good condition with a glaze pop to the spout and firing defects to the handle. Provenance: From a private New York City collection. Purchased from Christie's New York on December 5, 2018, as lot 81. The teapot has Christie's tags and an accession number on the bottom. High resolution images can be found here.
