A Chinese spinach jade bonsai tree dating from the 19th century or earlier. The wire tree sits in a spinach jade bowl that has a 6-character mark on the bottom. The tree itself has agate and amethyst flowers and buds. Coral beads surround the base of the tree. The whole tree and bowl rest upon an enameled double lotus pedestal. Dimensions are: the tree with the pedestal measures 13 inches tall X 12 inches wide, 33 cm X 30.5 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is chipping, breakage, and loss throughout.
