A Chinese blue and white export plate dating from the 18th century. The interior has a roundel with a riverside landscape scene featuring a pair of birds and a figure in a boat. Dimensions are: 1 1/2 inches tall X 9 1/2 inches wide, 3.8 cm X 24.1 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is one rim chip. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
