A Chinese famille rose floor vase dating from the 19th century. It features four panels on the neck and body with courtly scenes on a peach and lotus ground interspersed with landscape panels. The handles are in the form of guardian lions with cubs. Dimensions are: 24 inches tall X 9 inches wide, 61 cm X 22.9 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a repair to the rim and repairs to both handles. There is a star crack to the base. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area.
