A Chinese doucai plate depicting the Sanxing in a garden scene with a 6-character mark of Guangxu and of the period. The interior has a border with the eight Buddhist emblems. The exterior has four bats. Dimensions are: 1 7/8 inches tall X 9 1/4 inches wide, 4.8 cm X 23.5 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There are two hairlines and chipping to the rim. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
