Thomas Theodor HEINE (1867-1948), draftsman and caricaturist for the 'Fliegende Blätter' and also the 'Simplicissimus'. Due to his biting articles and caricatures, he was persecuted early on by the National Socialists. His long flight through many countries ended in Sweden in 1942. Apart from the Devil, only a few sculptures by Heine are known, here the rare Angel, which seems to float with hanging legs. Pewter (?) on a four-pass plinth, inscribed ''Modelliert von Th Th.
