Set of four sculptures in carved oak: - Saint Jerome H: 127 cm. - Saint Gregory the Great H: 140 cm. - Saint Augustine H: 141 cm. - Saint Ambrose of Milan: 142 cm. Provenance: - Convent of the Friars Preachers, Mons. - Acquired in 1798 by Jean Constant Fidèle Duval, ancestor of the present owners. ATELIER DE PIERRE & JEAN DE NOLE. Suite de quatre Pères de l’Eglise : saint Jérôme, saint Augustin, saint Grégoire le Grand et saint Ambroise de Milan. Premier tiers du XVIIème siècle.
