Dana Hatheway (American, North Carolina, 20th century), 1995. Set of eight bench-made black walnut continuous bow back Windsor armchairs, having exposed construction, turned spindles and legs, with curved stretchers. Each signed to the underside, dated 1995, and numbered 001 through 008. Note: Dana Hatheway lives in Brasstown, NC where he was the John C. Campbell Folk School's Resident Artist in woodworking for 15 years, having developed the Windsor chair program. Since 1984 he has been a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild. Approx. of one, h. 40.5", w. 25", d. 19.5", seat h. 18".
