George Bickerton (Scottish, Kidderminster active 1828-1850). Inlaid mahogany eight day tall case clock, having a swan's neck pediment, face with Highlander dance scene, Roman numerals and spandrels decorated with portraits of Lord Byron, Robert Burns, James Thomson, and Sir Walter Scott, triple gothic arch door flanked by turned quarter round columns, and rising on bun feet. Signed "Bickerton/Kidderminster" to face. Approx. h. 99", w. 22.5", d. 10.5".
