Dutch School, 17th century , Two Scenes from the Story of Joseph. 1) Joseph is thrown into the well by his brothers; on the left is a depiction of two of the brothers slaughtering a billy goat in order to stain Joseph's cloak with its blood and thus make the father believe that his son was torn by a wild beast. 2) Joseph before Pharaoh, who has mysterious dreams that can be interpreted by Joseph.
