Pair of large gilt and patinated bronze five-light candelabra in the Louis XV taste, each having two cherubs holding aloft a naturalistic scrolled branch, with dropped torch to the base. Signed "Forest (Paris)". Note. Maison Forest was noted for the high quality of their gilt-bronze mounts and furniture. They were was located at 14 rue Pierre-Picard and 31 rue Cambaceres, Paris, France. Approx. h. 48", w. 27", d. 15".
