Description
Translation provided by Youdao
The bronze girl-child stands amidst the early morning fog in between the rows of a vineyard. While everyone is busy harvesting the grapes from their stalks, she covets a bundle of grapes from the basket at her feet, to enjoy by herself. Grapes can be said to have multiple meanings. They are considered symbols of festivities and immortality, probably because they are used in the production of wine. There is fine detail seen throughout the entirety of the sculpture especially seen in the realness to fabric her clothing and bonnet have. She was captured using the archaic method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina stain mounted upon a marble base. Dimensions: Height 7 X Width 5 inches. Weight: 5 LBS.
