[Slavery]. Legal Document Detailing the Sale of Multiple Slaves. One page, 7.5" x 12" (sight), Paris, Tennessee; December 30, 1854. A document from the County Court of Henry County, Tennessee listing the sale of three slaves. It reads in part: "...the slave Katharine was struck off to John F. Retchurch he being the last best and highest bidder for the sum of five hundred & seventy dollars & fifty cents...and the slave Mariah & his child Edmond was stuck off to William James Wright he being the last best and highest bidder for the sum of twelve hundred dollars..."
