Louisa Catherine Adams Holographic Poem with Autograph Note Signed. Two pages, 7.75" x 9.5", no place; no date. Louisa encloses three stanzas of a poem to an unknown recipient in honor of a Mr. Brooks who had recently died. The heading reads "On hearing that Mr. C Brooks Delight at hearing Mr Adams speech." The note follows the poem, which Louisa initialed, and reads in part: "I take the liberty of sending the above lines. They are not worthy of the subject but as an old womans offering and a just tribute of profound admiration for the late Mr. Brooks you will accept them from." Signed, "Louisa C Adams."
