George Washington and Thomas Jefferson Partial Ship's Passport Signed. Two pages, recto and verso of one sheet, 10" x 6.25", issued in Charleston; February 12, 1794. A partial three-language ship's passport printed in Dutch, English and French, granting passage to the sloop, Lark. Signed by Washington as President and Jefferson as Secretary of State. Countersigned by Matthew Hayden, Deputy Collector of Customs for the port of Charleston. With embossed paper U.S. seal intact along with the red wax seal of John Sanford Dart, Justice of the Peace. JSA COA included for both signatures. Condition: Cut from a larger document and trimmed along the top edge. Fold touching the top part of Washington's signature.
