敦是一種盛食器和禮器，流行於春秋戰國時期。由鼎，簋的形制綜合發展而成。到秦代，敦已基本消失。《周禮》中簋敦不分，宋代稱敦為鼎，至清代始有學者將敦單獨分出。其形狀多種，一般為三短足，圓腹，二環耳，有蓋。有的蓋子也能翻轉過來使用。圈足的敦，蓋上多有捉手。禮記‧明堂位：「有虞氏之兩敦，夏後氏之四連。」鄭玄‧注：「敦，黍稷器。」
