A Chinese export style famille rose bowl dating from the 18th century. The bowl has a pink ground and 5 vignettes depicting a bird on a flowering branch. There are 5 smaller vignettes along the rim featuring gold flowers. Dimensions: 5 inches tall X 11 1/2 inches wide; 12.7 cm tall X 29.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a hairline fissure on the interior of the bowl and scattered glaze pops and iron deposits. Provenance: From a private collection in New York City.
