A Victorian gold amethyst and woven hair brooch, a woven hair glazed panel to the centre, with frame of grain set split pearls, to outer border of oval mixed cut amethyst in clawed collets, with pin and 'C' catch, engraved verso 'The gift of W Harnett to his sister M A Harrison', tested as approximately 9ct gold, 26 x 25mm, 5.47g Condition report: Some slight nicks to the glazed panel. A chip to one of the amethysts, and some slight abrasions to others. Surface marks/scratches to gold.
