A pair of George III sterling silver tablespoons, London 1812 by Mary and Eliza Sumner Old English pattern, engraved with initials BMA in cursive script. Together with a bright cut engraved tablespoon, London 1784 (pre-duty) makers mark obliterated, engraved with a crest of a lady, vested, her dexter hand supporting an anchor, and holding in her sinister a saracen's head erased, held by the hair, and a Victorian basting spoon, London 1892 by Aldwinckle and Slater, engraved with a crest of an eagle with wings expanded, each wing charged with a fasces erect, supporting with the dexter claw an escutcheon of the arms, viz., per pale az and sa., on a fesse invected, plain cottised or, between three fleurs-de-lis of the last, a fasces erect between two eagles' heads erased. All fully marked. (4) Basting spoon Length – 30.5 cm / 30.25 inches Weight – 339 grams / 10.9 ozt The basting spoon crest is for Whitehead For Sir James Whitehead, 1st Baronet (1834 - 1917) of Highfield House, Catford Bridge, Kent, created a baronet on 26th November 1889.
