An early to mid-20th century Anglo – Indian white metal bachelor teapot, Lucknow circa 1930 Raj period, of compressed oval form upon a domed oval foot, the curved spout with chased decoration of scrolls opposite an ebonised wooden handle pinned to socket. The hinged domed lid surmounted by a fluted knop finial. The body and lid with embossed decoration in hunting pattern, showing scenes of lion to one side, then elephant and antelope to the other, each against trees.
