A Victorian sterling silver fitted burr walnut gentleman’s travelling vanity case, London 1861 by Thomas Whitehouse Of rectangular form, fitted with five silver mounted clear glass jars, a shaving brush and brush, the under section with silver mounted shoehorn, file, and button hook, along with ivory mounted straight razor and pen knife, below this tray an ivory handled sharping holder, branded Mappin Brothers. All silver elements with engine turned decoration and a shaped cartouche engraved with initials J.E.T in simple script. The lid fitted with a mirror.
