此箱为文具箱，主体以黄花梨为材，作四面平直正方体，盒上置拱背提梁，下设四足，对开门式设计，正面两扇门方形开光，开光之内雕卷草纹提梁及底座也装饰卷草纹。箱内上层设有小抽屉，配有铜质云纹状把手，雕饰卷草纹环绕抽屉一圈。下层为置物架。铜饰考究，边角皆设铜包角。木纹自然漂亮，包浆光泽滋润。整体古朴典雅，精巧别致，即可陈设仓储，又便携带，为清代文房必备用器。
