A Chinese gold-thread embroidered ruyi quatrefoil dating from the 19th century. The quatrefoil depicts a scene of flowers and lingzhi within lotus tracery with shou medallions. It features the forbidden stitch, and has been matted ad framed. Dimensions are: 20 3/4 inches tall X 53 3/4 inches wide, 52.7 cm X 136.5 cm, while the frame measures 31 3/4 inches tall X 64 3/4 inches wide, 80.6 cm X 164.5 cm. All measurements are approximate.
