A pair of Chinese iron red vases featuring a 6-character mark and dating from the Republic period. Each has a wooden stand and each vase features a figure with a poem and 3 seals. Dimensions are: 9 1/4 inches tall X 4 1/4 inches wide, 23.5 cm tall X 10.8 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: Both are in overall good condition. One vase has light paint loss. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
