A Chinese Imperial bowl in iron red and blue porcelain with a 6-character Guangxu mark and of the period. The interior features blue branches with auspicious symbols surrounding a roundel of 3 deer in a landscape. The exterior has 4 roundels of cranes in iron red. Dimensions are: 2 1/2 inches tall X 6 inches wide, 6.4 cm tall X 15.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: Very minor abrasions and glaze chipping, overall good condition. Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
