A Chinese jade tripod censer dating from the Ming dynasty. Dimensions are: 2 inches tall X 2 3/4 inches wide, 5.1 cm tall X 7 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: Overall good condition with minor age wear. Provenance: This lot was sold at Christie's New York on September 11, 1979, as Lot 157. From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
