A Chinese jade plaque carved on 1 side with stylized ruyi interlace and dating from the late Warring States period. Dimensions are: 2 3/4 inches tall X 1 7/8 inches wide, 7 cm tall X 4.8 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: Age appropriate wear and chipping to the edges. Provenance: From Mr. Lee in Houston, Texas, by descent; acquired in Taiwan prior to the 1980s. Reference: A similar rectangular jade plaque from the late Warring States period, is illustrated in "Zhong Guo Yu Qi Quan Ji", Vol. 3, Hebei Fine Arts Publishing House, Hebei: 1993, pl. 159.
