A ROYAL BONN GILT METAL MOUNTED HANDPAINTED POTTERY VASE, SIGNED, GERMAN, 19TH CENTURY, of compressed ovoid form and a gilt rim above beautifully painted sides, depicting a peasant maiden beauty leaning on a stone wall with flowers spilling from a basket at her feet, amidst tall forest trees and gazing wistfully towards the golden sunlight reflecting off waters from a shoreline inlet, reversing to a winding trail meandering through a rolling hillside landscape interspersed with clusters of trees, signed "Zoyd," over a flaring circular beaded base with egg-and-baton gilt banding on a light apple green ground, on a reticulated gilt metal plinth of marguerite blooms alternating applied floral bouquets and raised on elephant mask cast feet, verso brown stenciled maker's marks "Royal," over a crowned cartouche centering a "JM" monogram and "1735," above "Bonn / GERMANY," adjoining an overglaze purple ink inscribed "Original," impressed letters "QB / 2699," drilled for electricity.
