A GERMAN ROCOCO STYLE FAUX MALACHITE PAINTED SECRETARY BOOKCASE, 20TH CENTURY, the realistically painted serpentine arched molding cornice above paired doors with conforming wire covered open panels, opening to an interior with two shelves divided into seven compartments, over two exterior concealed candle stands and a hinged slant front panel painted à quatre faces enclosed by matching crossbanding, opening to reveal an interior with writing surface before small drawers and pigeon hole pockets, above two similarly painted exterior lopers, flanking paired short drawers over two long drawers with each centering an ormolu cartouche form escutcheon, flanked by elegant scrolling acanthus detailed ormolu handles above a matching faux malachite undulating apron raised on splayed feet.
