Garuda is also the mount or vehicle (varada) of Vishnu. He represents birth and heaven and conqueror over snakes. This Garuda is standing wide-legged on a lotus base, trampling on two snakes. His two arms are widely spread, a pair of wings also spread from his back. The deity is wearing a short cloth and a plated armour with necklaces and armlets. The face is fierce with a spiky mane, a tiara with a crescent moon and lotus bud decorates his head. He is surrounded by a pointy flaming halo. The backside is flat.
