Staffordshire creamware pitcher, in the style of Adams and Copeland, with light blue glaze and relief cast decoration depicting a winged figure, gryphon, urns, grape and leaf border and having a grotesque spout.Apparently unmarked. Note: Accompanied with provenance or oral history list of family members that owned and to whom were handed down this heirloom over generations, beginning with Nicholas Pierce (1761-1812). Approx. h. 6.375", w. 9".
