British, 19th century, English silver fused plate wine cooler, probably Padley, Parkin and Co., with foliate rim, central band of putti with ribbons and grapes, foliate handles, robust acanthus decoration, and fitted with collared liner having an ecclesiastical armorial topped by a bishop's mitre for Thomas Musgrave (English, 1788-1860) while bishop of Hereford (1837-1847). Marked underneath with the hand mark of Padley. Approx. h. 11.25", w. 11".
