C.. 200-100 BC. Late Hellenistic. A terracotta plate with out-turned rim, hemispherical body and ring foot; an incised stylised face motif, flanked by four fleur-de-lys style palmettes occupies the centre of the plate. The entire vessel, apart from the foot, is covered in a black glaze characteristic of Hellenistic ceramics.
