100-300 AD, Roman. Silver ring with a D-Shaped hoop, raided circular decoration on the bezel and an oval-shaped frame with 'dextrarum iunctio' ('joining together of the right hands') motif. In the fine arts, this motif is the representation of two people offering each other their right hand and is symbol of union and marriage, perhaps indicating that this item was a Roman wedding ring.
