100-300 AD. Roman. A pair of gold earrings, each comprising a suspension loop, circular upper plate with a raised central boss and filigree border. The lower part of each earring comprises a teardrop-shaped plate with a black glass setting flanked by filigree spiral rondels and rows of gold baubles. These beautiful pieces probably once adorned the ear of a Roman noblewoman. Excellent condition; wearable.
