C. 300-500 AD, Late Roman. Intricate gold pendant earrings comprising suspension loops supporting biconical openwork filigree charms decorated with gold granulations, faux weave, geometric wired designs and large gold baubles. This type of filigree decoration is typical of the late Roman period. These beautiful items probably belonged to a Roman noblewoman. Excellent condition.Size: L:54mm / W:13mm ; 12.5g; Provenance: From the private collection of a Kent gentleman; previously in an old British collection, formed in the 1990s on the UK /European art markets.
