呂佛庭，號半僧，河南泌陽。北平美專畢業，受徐燕孫，陳緣督，管平湖諸大家指授，所作上追唐宋，法吳道子，李公麟，兼習山水，法巨然，子久，仲圭諸家。擅水墨、專攻山水。去臺北後曾任教育部美育委員會駐會委員，兼臺灣藝術教育館美術組主任。曾任書法學會常務監事、美術協會榮譽理事。 迂翁。 此作是其晚年精品。
