题识：臣管念慈敬绘 钤印：臣管念慈、宣统御览之宝 说明：管念慈，字劬安，号横山樵客，江苏苏州人，性澹泊，喜横山泉石花竹之胜，遂家焉，工书、画，初从袁启潮学。上追宋、元，近规王、恽。山水、人物、花鸟，志合古法。光绪间，召入内廷，奉旨改号莲盦。光绪帝称其为横山先生。晚年寓居上海，与吴友如一起为《点石斋画报》绘制插画。
