以段泥成器，造型端庄规矩。腹上绘田园山水图，予作品添色彩。任淦庭（1888.8-1969.12）又名干庭，字缶硕，号漱石、石溪、聋人、大聋、左民、左腕道人。江苏宜兴人，陶刻大家。在家排行老三，长兄淦坤，精于刻纸，二哥不幸早逝，四弟淦儒，是专工花鸟人物。任淦庭的陶刻艺术，在我国美术界影响颇大，与许多美术家结为挚友。他如严师、慈父般的对待紫砂陶刻艺徒，当今门徒都已成就。近八旬时，还每日习字作画，对每个艺徒按各人特长，分赠画稿，供学生参考练习，后虽腕力不济，仍以钢笔作画稿。其孜孜不倦的精神，为世人铭记
