In the Style of Zhang Cining (1743- after 1817), Mountain Landscape with Scholar's Study, China, dated 1806. Hanging scroll, 132 x 27,5 cm, ink and light colors on paper. Signature by the artist: "In the summer of the bingyin year of the Jiaqing period (1806), Zhang Cining from Cangzhou". Two seals of the artist: "Kunyi" and "henghai zhangshi huaji" - Provenance: Former old European private collection, assembled prior 1990 - Private property Frankfurt - Zhang Cining, style name Kunyi, was from Cangzhou in Hebei province. He painted landscapes in an elegant literati style similar to the style of Shitao (1641 - nach 1707). He did also paintings of flowers, figures and ink bamboo.
