Decorated with chinoiserie scenes depicting figures engaged in various pursuits flanked by flowering plants and with insects and birds in flight, on the ecuelle and stand within a gilt scrollwork cartouche filled with Böttger lustre and edged with foliate scrollwork in two tones of iron-red, the cover with two vignettes within iron-red concentric circles and a gilt branch handle, the angled handles embellished in gilding, gilt scrollwork borders to the cover and stand, iron-red concentric circles on reverse of stand, the stand: 17.6cm diam., lustre marks to ecuelle and cover, incised x inside footrim of stand (some scattered minor flaking and a few spots of retouching to gilt rims) (3)
