Modelled by Georg Ludwig Bartholomae, the woman feeding chickens, wearing a grey-chequered bodice and striped skirt with puce floral hem, holding grain gathered in her green apron, the man standing by a dog kennel with a dog eating from a bowl and a cat watching, his left hand raised, wearing a puce-striped jacket reserved with flowers and green, patterned breeches, the base applied with leaves, 16.5cm and 15.3cm high, cross marks in underglaze-blue, black-painted inventory numbers H-K2, applied paper collectors' labels inscribed in ink 'No. 6.'
