器身多处小窑封 德化白釉以细腻温润的象牙白釉色著称，其中又尤以瓷塑为世人称道，所塑神佛像形神具备，气韵典雅，本品即为白釉瓷塑而成的弥勒佛，呈游戏坐姿，左手持布袋一角，右手搭于右膝上，慈眉善目，双耳垂肩，笑容可掬，大肚袒露，神态悠闲，逍遥自在，将其大肚能容天下之事展现得淋漓尽致 弥勒信仰在中原地区流传甚广，常见于汉传佛教造像，为慈悲福分之象征 由于布袋和尚为弥勒佛的应化身，也常以布袋和尚的原型僧人为形，塑造弥勒佛，此件弥勒佛即为此类
