Fritz Grotemeyer (1864-1947), German illustrator, portrait, history and war painter. Studied at the Berlin Academy under Meyerheim and later became a master student of Anton von Werner. From Kaiser Wilhelm II. Grotemeyer received the order of the crown for the painting ''The Peace Negotiations 1648 in the City Hall of Münster''.
