此件笔筒为整块碧玉精雕而成，用料硕大，入手沉坠。碧玉色 浓，细腻如墨，绿如凝脂，整器硕大，挖膛成器，作三如意形足。 外壁表面满饰正龙纹，密刻云气纹。此件笔筒精在其体型硕大， 纹饰雕刻精美细致，远近层叠，如施镂刻技法，立体感极强。参阅：故宫博物院藏品大系（玉器编 9）no.8
