瓶直口，长颈，圆腹，圈足，通景以粉彩绘文王渭水河边探访姜太公的历史故事画面，画中文王毕恭毕敬，身后仆从神态各异，辇车放置一旁。所绘岩石，颇具质感，高超娴熟的绘画技巧将人物形象刻画得栩栩如生。“访贤图”出现于明末清初，包括常见的周文王渭滨访姜太公和尧访许由等典故。其出现的缘故可能与晚明政治状况密切相关。崇祯皇帝即位后诛除魏忠贤等奸党，平反冤案，起用前朝被罢免官员，广纳贤才，朝廷始有清明之象。此时文人雅士当中出仕奉君之思潮暗涌，与隐逸自洁、寄怀山水的主流形成对立。
