An early 20thC Indian ceremonial freedom casket, of rectangular compressed sarcophagus form, heavily repousse decorated with an outline of scrolls and flowers, with side handles, on compressed hairy paw feet, with further panels of repousse decorated scrolls and flowers, and a central plaque presented to His Excellency Sir William Malcolm Hailey K.C.S.I C.I.E I.C.S Governor of the Punjab by the Ambala Districk Sikh Jagirdars and Zamindars Association August 29th 1924, unmarked white metal, 15cm high, 28cm wide, 16cm deep.
