A Chinese blue and white porcelain bowl, the exterior decorated with medallions enclosing the Daoist Eight Trigrams/Diagrams divided by stylised bat shaped clouds and cranes in flight, above the foot a band of stylised rocks, breaking waves, on an arched linear ground above which there are two bands of rings symbolising sea spray, the interior with a rim border of four floral reserves on a diaper ground below a centrally placed medallion of a phoenix within rings, the foot with six character Qianlong mark but later, height 7.6cm, diameter 18.7cm.
