1936年后，国民政府以北洋时期库存刀条及刀装改制并配发的高阶将官佩刀。刀身厚重、锻造精良、单侧开锋，应为实战之用。柄部异常宽大厚实，配件均为铜制，护手通过护指与柄首相连。刀柄近护手处安装有按钮卡榫，用于固定刀鞘，四周为鱼籽地。刀柄背部阴刻有梅花纹饰，而柄首阴刻有蕉叶纹饰。柄芯为木制，外侧为赛璐璐材质。刀鞘为铁制，配有单枚挂环。全长93厘米。
